BC Children’s Hospital

The Team Finn Foundation is an active supporter of the clinical research taking place at BC Children’s Hospital. We have worked in partnership with doctors at BC Children’s Hospital to help implement pediatric POG and to make it accessible to kids in British Columbia.

The Team Finn Foundation has also co-funded a grant to assist in developing a personalized approach to detecting circulating DNA in children with solid tumours. The hope is that through this research a test will be developed, using blood samples instead of biopsies, to better identify mutations in tumours and to identify more effective targeted treatments to kill tumours in light of those mutations.

In addition to our support of clinical research at BC Children’s Hospital, Team Finn has also donated to Finn’s Monkey Room Projects at the Hospital. As a tribute to a very special boy, these Monkey Room projects strive to transform the experience of child going through treatment through art and distraction.

As part of the prep for the upcoming RTCC, we are putting together at "Run Jump Bounce Remember Me" playlist that will be blasting out on a speaker on my bike.

If you are interested in adding a song, the idea is:

a. The Remember Me are intended to remind you of or be dedications for those we Ride for;

b. The Run Jump Bounce songs are supposed to be Piano Bar style sing a long songs that get you grooving and singing along on the road.

This is a continuation of something we started last year, so we are starting to run low on song space, so if you want to add a song it will be on a first come first served basis.
