HELPING KIDS BE KIDS
During the medical part of Finn’s journey, we saw the inside of dozens of different medical environments in three major cities. In Boston and Spokane, we saw how beautiful murals in the hospital can soothe and distract. We saw how the introduction of stuffed monkeys can change a scary room into a place of comfort. We want to see more of the beautiful magic of mural art at BC Children’s Hospital. With the help of friends and some fabulous artists, we have created a fund and the very special Finn’s Monkey Room Project to create an environment to help kids just be kids at BC Children’s Hospital.
The goal of Finn’s monkey room is to give kids like Finn a hospital environment they can look forward to, a hospital environment that can help them heal, a hospital environment they deserve.
